Widget tabs
Home, Messages, Help, News and App: which tabs the visitor sees and what that depends on.
Available tabs
home

Home: the greeting, the “Send us a message” button and, below them, news and knowledge base articles (everything you set up in the Welcome section; see Home tab). It’s always there and can’t be turned off.
chat

Messages: the visitor’s list of conversations and the “Send us a message” button for a new one. It can’t be turned off.
help
Type: tabs.help_enabledDefault: true
Help: articles from your knowledge base. The tab appears only if the toggle is on, the project’s plan includes the knowledge base and the project has at least one article marked Published and Public. Only such articles show in the tab; visitors never see internal ones. While the tab isn’t shown, Home doesn’t show the Popular articles and search block either.
news
Type: tabs.news_enabledDefault: true
News: a feed of announcements for customers. The tab appears only if the toggle is on and at least one announcement with the Clients or Everyone audience is currently running. While the tab isn’t shown, Home doesn’t show the Latest news block either.
miniapp
Type: tabs.miniapp_enabledDefault: false
App: your web page in an embedded frame (iframe) from the Mini App section. The tab appears only if the toggle is on and a page address is set in the Mini App section.

Where to configure it
SettingsWidget BuilderTabs has three toggles: Help / Knowledge base, News / Announcements and Mini App. The content itself is edited in its own sections: articles in the Knowledge Base, announcements in SettingsAnnouncements, and the address, title and height of the page for the App tab in the builder’s Mini App section (see Advanced features).
The widget remembers which tab the visitor was on last, in the sessionStorage key sh_tab. When they open it again in the same browser tab, they go straight back there. This is on purpose, so a returning visitor doesn’t “lose their place”.
