Operator invitations
For Admins

Operator invitations

An email invitation is one of two ways to add someone to a project; the other is creating an account on the service domain right away (see Team management). An owner or admin sends the invitation, and the recipient accepts or declines it on a dedicated page.

Invitation process

  1. Open Operators in the main menu, click Invite and switch to the Invite Email tab.
  2. Enter the email, pick the role (Operator or Administrator) and, if needed, the ticket limit and departments. All of it applies once the invitation is accepted.
  3. Click Send Invitation — the recipient gets an email with a link.
  4. The link opens the invitation page: it shows which project the invitation is for and until when it's valid, with Accept invitation and Decline invitation buttons.
  5. If they have no account yet, they enter a name and a password (at least 6 characters) and click Create account and join: the account is created with the email already confirmed. If they have an account, accepting is enough. Then they sign in to SupportHub as usual.

Invitation statuses

The Operators page only shows pending invitations — the Pending invitations block. Other statuses aren't shown in the interface:

StatusDescription
Awaiting acceptanceSent; the recipient hasn't acted yet
AcceptedThe person was added to the project and shows up in the operator list
DeclinedThe recipient declined; the invitation just disappears from the list
Expired7 days have passed — the link shows Invitation expired
There's no resend button, and you can't create a second invitation for the same address while the first is pending. To invite again, cancel the old one (✕ → Cancel invitation?) and send a new one. The cancelled invitation's link then shows Invitation not found.
You can't invite someone who already works in the project. The link in the email works without signing in — only pass it to the person you're inviting.
