For Operators
Chat Widget
The widget is a chat window on the project's website. Visitors' messages arrive in the Inbox as regular tickets, and your replies show up in the widget right away, without reloading the page.
Who's writing
If the website passes the signed-in user's details to the widget, the contact arrives with their name and email. Otherwise it's an anonymous visitor: the card shows the name they entered themselves, or “Visitor …”.
Your name and avatar
- Once a ticket is assigned to an operator, the customer sees that operator's avatar and profile name in the widget header, and the operator's name above the replies. So make sure your profile has your name and an avatar.
- If an admin turned off “Show operator name” in the widget builder, the customer sees the project's name (or “Team” if no name is set) instead of your name and avatar.
Attachments
Visitors can send photos and files, voice messages, GIFs and stickers, and your attachments reach them right in the widget.
Reply rating
If reply rating is enabled for the project, the customer sees 👍 and 👎 under your messages in the widget. You'll see their rating on your message in the ticket.
An admin sets up the widget's look and behaviour — colours, greeting, menu, forms — in Settings → Widget Builder.
