Widget builder

Settings → Widget Builder (under Channels; Website widget in the side menu) is the visual editor for the chat widget, with a live preview. Owners and admins can use it.

Sections

On the left is the list of sections under the Builder heading, on the right the preview. The working sections:

  • Brand — the accent colour and gradient, the theme (auto, light, dark), Widget language (Auto, Always Russian, Always English; see Brand and header), the logo, the launcher button with your own icon, the title and subtitle, team avatars (up to 10), and “Powered by SupportHub”.
  • Welcome — the welcome block and button, quick-reply buttons (up to 8), the Bottom of Home blocks (Latest news and Popular articles and search, with articles as tiles or a list; see Home tab and greeting) and auto-open (see below).
  • Tabs — Help / Knowledge base, News / Announcements and Mini App. Home and the chat are always there. Help shows up if there's at least one published public article, News if there are active customer announcements, and the mini app tab if a page address is set in the Mini App section.
  • Forms & Topics — the fields the customer fills in before the chat, and request topics.
  • Conversation — Show operator name; Show operator avatar — when off, the widget shows the project logo instead of the operator's photo; Show ticket history and Max items — closed conversations in the chat list: off hides them, on shows the latest N (open conversations always show); CSAT rating prompt and Rating prompt — after a ticket is closed, the visitor gets a card with stars to rate it (see Rating system); “Reply ratings 👍/👎 — for the whole project” — the project's one switch, the same as in Settings → Ratings and in the Telegram bot builder: it saves right away, without publishing. The widget doesn't show the History label yet.
  • Hours & Avail. — showing the working hours and the offline and outside-hours texts. The schedule itself is only displayed here; you change it in Settings → Work Hours.
  • System Messages, Email Bridge (asks for an email outside working hours and sends an acknowledgement email if you switch it on; needs an email channel selected; the email text is in Email Templates), Reply Keyboards, Mini App (the page for the tab), Pinned Banner, Away/Greeting, Emoji Pack.
  • Visitor notifications — tell a visitor who left that the operator replied: Web Push on the site, your support bot in its Mini App, or the visitor.reply_waiting webhook (see Visitor notifications).
  • Privacy — typing indicators, read receipts, the “operator seen” indicator, and the allowed domains the widget may run on.
  • Advanced — the notification sound (including your own by URL), the cookie domain and custom CSS.
Bot Menu, Bot Profile, Stories, Slow Mode and Background are placeholders for now (“… coming soon”). The widget currently ignores Icon Pack and, in Brand, Position, Border radius and Display mode: the launcher always sits bottom right.

Logo and icon

In Brand, you upload the logo as a file — PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG up to 256 KB — or set an external URL. A raster file is cropped to a square (up to 512 px) before upload; SVG goes in as is. Options: Shape (rounded, circle, square) and Transparent background — no accent tile under the logo, for images with their own background. Your own launcher icon uploads the same way; it can be shown without text and on a transparent background.

“Powered by SupportHub” footer

By default the bottom of the widget has a “Powered by SupportHub” link. It isn't shown on phones, touch devices, in-app browsers or in the builder preview. The Hide “Powered by SupportHub” switch in Brand is available on plans with custom branding (Business and Enterprise among the standard plans); on other plans it's locked and points to the plans page.

Auto-open

  • Auto-open delay (seconds) — 0 or empty turns it off; the widget opens by itself once per browser session, but not in the preview and not for bots.
  • Where to open by itself — everywhere, only in a regular browser, or only on a computer.
  • Open the chat right away in a Telegram Mini App — on by default, and it only fires on a real Mini App launch, not on a link from a chat.
  • What to open — a tab, a knowledge base section or article, or a news item (only among visible tabs).

Preview

The preview updates almost immediately after each edit. Below it, Preview state switches screens: launcher, home, pre-chat form, conversation, typing, system messages, ticket created, rating prompt, email bridge, closed ticket, help, news, offline and outside hours. Mobile preview (375px) shows the mobile layout. Above the sections there's a Language switcher and Manage languages — the preview follows the chosen language. The exception is Widget language in Brand: with Always Russian or Always English, the preview is always in that language.

Draft and publishing

  • Every edit is saved to the draft automatically. Site visitors only see the published version.
  • Publish promotes the draft to the live version, and Discard throws the draft away (after a confirmation). Both are disabled while the draft matches what's published — the status then reads All changes published.
  • Published changes don't reach visitors instantly: the widget configuration is cached, so visitors may see the old version for up to five minutes.
  • The builder has no approval flow, scheduled publishing or change log in the interface.
The install code is behind Embed snippet at the bottom of the left column (on a computer) or on the widget tile in Settings → Channels. It holds the widget address with your project ID and a commented-out optional HMAC visitor-token request — see Channel setup.
If the visitor's system asks for reduced motion, the widget honours it by itself — there's no separate setting.
